Now that the New York auto show is open to the public, show organizers have kept busy promoting the show, and their efforts couldn’t be more obvious than parking a super-hot Italian thoroughbred on the street, along with a few staffers handing out free hot dogs.

The European-spec 2012 Aventador LP700-4, Lamborghini’s newest and hottest flagship exotic car, is powered by a 6.5L V-12 engine that makes 691 hp and 509 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a new seven-speed transmission, the Aventador accelerates from 0-60 mph in less than 3 seconds yet has more accessible performance than its predecessors.
